Belinda Arredondo is an Emmy award-winning writer and producer with Sesame Street. Her live-action short Spanish is My Superpower was recently adapted into a picture book and published by Penguin Random House. She is the creator of the Lucha Libre League, an animated short nominated for a 2019 Kidscreen Award which she is currently adapting into a chapter book series. She is an Imagen award-winner, recipient of the National Hispanic Media Coalition Fellowship, the Upright Citizens Brigade Diversity Scholarship and a Fred Rogers Early Career Fellow. A former Art Department Assistant of the children’s publisher Candlewick Press, she has contributed to the Horn Book Magazine as a reviewer of bilingual Latinx picture books. Additional writing credits include PBS Kids Elmo’s World, Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck, Arthur, Hero Elementary, NBC Kids Nina’s World, and HBO Max’s Bea’s Block.
